First Home Buyer Program
The First Home Buyer Program gives eligible buyers exclusive priority access to a range of homes and land allotments, helping more South Australians take their first step towards building and owning their own home.
This program is supported by the Australian Government under the Homes for Australia plan.
How it works
The program is designed to make it easier for first home buyers to secure homes and land without competing with investors and other buyer groups during the priority access period.
Build your future at Playford Alive
First Home Buyer land allotments are now being made available at Playford Alive, with land releases staged over time.
Playford Alive is an established master-planned community in Adelaide’s north, with access to local services, parks, schools, shops, transport and community facilities.
A dedicated precinct within Playford Alive will deliver hundreds of blocks for first home buyers. In each land release, a significant proportion of blocks are set aside exclusively for eligible purchasers for 90 days, before being released to the broader market.
These blocks include a range of sizes suitable for singles, couples and families, giving first home buyers a greater opportunity to secure land in a high-demand, well-established community.
During this exclusive period, eligible first home buyers can secure land without competition from investors and other buyer groups, providing a clearer pathway into home ownership.
Am I eligible?
The Playford Alive First Home Buyer land allotments are for eligible buyers who are ready to buy land and build their first home.
You may be eligible if you:
- have never owned residential property in Australia
- are over 18 years of age
- are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- intend to live in the home as an owner-occupier
- meet any additional eligibility criteria that apply to specific allotments.
Some allotments may be released through the affordable home program and have additional eligibility requirements.
Available allotments
First Home Buyer Program allotments at Playford Alive are available in a range of sizes and locations within the Eastern Parcel.
- Land sizes range from 165 square metres to about 450 square metres.
- Allotments will be priced from $225,000*.
